The Role

The Dean Trust is seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic Cover Coordinator to join our dedicated team at Abraham Moss Community School, Crescent Road, Crumpsall, Manchester, M8 5UF.

The core purpose of the role will be to:

  • To ensure the effective and efficient organisation of teaching cover across the school, coordinating staff absences, liaising with agencies and maintaining accurate records.
  • To lead and support the team of Cover Supervisors, providing high-quality supervision and undertaking cover duties when required.
  • To provide high quality, efficient and effective administration support as part of the  Assessment team.  

Key responsibilities:

  • Monitor the cover absence requests and emails each morning from 7.30am; 
  • Liaise with the Deputy Headteacher regarding long term absence and planned trips/course/medical appointments etc.
  • Update and monitor the daily rota for cover within the school.
